SADNESS

Realizing your life
has been spent alone
among many others,
family and child.
Accepting the reality
of not being seen,
recognizing each day
the power of another
seldom comes your way.
Knowing time is essential
yet having no more;
seeing the world
as no one else can;
witnessing the power
unused -
being born before
your time,
withering away
due to no physical
touch -
no sharing - no true love.
