Wrote this in 1998 when I lived at the end of a road looking out into the fields with grazing horses.
SLUMBER DAZE
Dew dripping from bent stalks of grass
Pansies looking at the ground
Still asleep in their nighttime slumber
Horses leisurely strolling through the fields
Dispersing the dew
Parting the grasses
Enjoying the coolness
of the morning after the rain.
